An engineer is implementing NPV mode on a Cisco MDS 9000 Series Switch.
Which action must be taken?
A
NPIV Is Not Enabled -
If NPIV is not enabled on the NPV core switch:
Step 1. Enter the show npv status command to check the status of the link:
Step 2. If the state is "Failed" with the reason "NPIV is not enabled in upstream switch," then you must enable NPIV on the core NPV switch.
The NPV core switch is defined as an upstream switch on which NPIV is enabled. The NPV core switch receives traffic that is passed to it from a downstream switch that has NPV enabled on it. A switch that is in NPV mode does not switch traffic; instead, it passes traffic to the upstream NPV core switch on which NPIV is enabled.
After NPIV is enabled on the core NPV switch, the port should automatically come up (unless there are other issues).

Which two statements describe modifying Cisco UCS user accounts? (Choose two.)
AD
A locally authenticated user account is authenticated directly through the fabric interconnect and can be enabled or disabled by anyone with admin or aaa privileges. After a local user account is disabled, the user cannot log in. The database does not delete the configuration details for disabled local user accounts. If you re-enable a disabled local user account, the account becomes active with the existing configuration, including the username and password.
A remotely authenticated user account is any user account that is authenticated through LDAP, RADIUS, or TACACS+.
If a user maintains a local user account and a remote user account simultaneously, the roles defined in the local user account override those maintained in the remote user account.

An engineer is converting a Cisco MDS switch to support NPIV mode.
What should be considered when implementing the solution?
C
About N Port Identifier Virtualization
N port identifier virtualization (NPIV) provides a means to assign multiple FC IDs to a single N port. This feature allows multiple applications on the N port to use different identifiers and allows access control, zoning, and port security to be implemented at the application level. Figure 1-1 shows an ex-ample application using
NPIV.
Figure 1-1 NPIV Example -
You must globally enable NPIV for all VSANs on the MDS switch to allow the NPIV-enabled applica-tions to use multiple N port identifiers.
